Youth Futures Incorporated operates 5 program areas, each with different sources
for funding and differing reporting requirements for each service
agreement/grant deed. Being a tax exempt Public Benevolent Institution enables
our organisation to derive significant financial benefits by utilising tax
exempt fringe benefits within salary packaging arrangements. Justin has used his
expertise to develop systems that have been rigorously tested over time in all
areas using MYOB Accounting Plus software. This includes:
• Reports to management and Governance Committee, and various Government
authorities (e.g. ATO);
• External audits (e.g. Continuous Quality Improvement & Tasmania Qualification
Authority);
• Financial viability assessment of grant applications (External assessors); and
• Financial reports for funding bodies/grant acquittals.
Youth Futures receive reports from Justin as needed, whenever required, and for
whatever purpose. Our expenditure on official audits is significantly less than
the norm because of the work that Justin has done, despite the complexity of our
requirements and that of our funding bodies.
Justin having a background in computer programming and a degree (bachelor of
information systems) also developed a custom application to track client
outcomes for our employment programs.
